Feds want ISP’s to hand over user data

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said Tuesday that Congress should require internet service providers to preserve customer records, asserting that prosecutors need them to fight child pornography.

If Gonzales gets his wish, this should become a cause of concern for every American.

Gonzales also had this to say: “”We respect civil liberties but we have to harmonize this so we can get more information,”.

I wonder what he means by “harmonize”.

Terrorism and protecting the children. Those are the 2 excuses they use to take away more and more of our liberty. Anyone have a guess as to what the next pathetic excuse will be?
